Complex Device Characterization that is Easy to Use and Blazing Fast
TestScape-Charzilla is a module in the TestScape family that enables test engineers to perform complex device characterization in minutes instead of days. Charzilla makes the tedious task of managing dozens of files and million of data points fast and easy. The user may run partial or complete device characterizations for all combinations of process, voltage, temperature, and frequency. PDF reports provide clear and complete results that meet the most stringent customer requirements in the industry.
Data Collection: One or more lots of data may be collected from the tester in either STDF format or directly in real-time using Pintail’s SwifTest monitoring system. In either case, the data is compressed into Pintail’s highly efficient TestScape DBMS for rapid editing and processing.
Data Set Construction: The engineer has complete control over what data will be used for the analyses. The multiple lots of data are presented to the user in an easy to edit format. Flexible editing tools allow the user to include or exclude specific lots, rename lots, and cleanup the data within lots. The user may also quickly remove specific devices from the selected lots due to failures, outliers, etc.
Range of Variables: The user is presented with three sources from which he may specify the variables to be used in the analyses: (1) test attributes stored in the test data log during the lot testing, (2) user specified attributes that are not contained in the data log data, and (3) parametric test data (names, descriptors and values. While parametric data is usually used for dependent variables, parameters that may be used as independent variables, like VDD or temperature, are automatically recognized as independent variable candidates for analysis.
Independent Variables: The user then selects the independent variables to be used from lot attributes or the list of tests.
Dependent Variables: Intuitive data presentation and editing features allow the user to easily select some or all of the tests to be used as dependent variables.
Define Analyses: Once the data set is prepared and the variables are defined, the user selects the specific analysis desired as part of his characterization. Each dependent variable will be analyzed across the multiple independent variables.
- Needle in the Haystack: The system provides the user with a summary of the most significant variances detected during the data set creation as a guide to quickly identifying the tests with the greatest variability and impact on the characterization.
- Menu Driven: An intuitive menu allows the user to easily select the specific analysis desired which includes: Schmoo plots, ANOVA and multi-ANOVA grids, Scatter plots, box and multi-box plots, histograms and multi- Histograms.
